Sérgio, could you trade Jaclyn to me for her? If you could, I will buy this silver lady for you.....
Persistence always pays off in the end

Elys - the pickguard can't be original because such a thing was never made by RIC. However, early 4003's (1980-1986) have two piece pickguards just like the one seen here.

You keep Jaclyn out of this.
But I meant what I said re: my 4080.

Its one of those transitional 4003 models that you adjusted the truss rod from the neck end, judging from the two piece pickguard. Silver with white binding is pretty rare in my experience. I recall Mike Parks having one about 5 years ago or so, but I think this one is only the second one I've seen, unless Bootzilla had one, I can't remember... You used to be able to buy horseshoe pickups separately too, so I guess thats where that came from...

Yeah,,,Mike Parks had the only other silver/white trim 4003 that I've seen too.
Its gotta be the same one:

Its picked up a few things since this pic but I do think its the same bass.
Mike's description:
4003 Silver
Silver with white trim.. never seen another! Added mirror pickguard.. Serial # UC 735 (March 1981).
Right down to the white selector switch cap.....
