I was in transit--in fact, at 8:40 pm last night, I was on the Golden Gate Bridge! Nothing to report.

Interesting. A couple weeks back we had a 5+ on the Richter scale here is Lisbon. It's been a long time since a seizable seismic shock hit this country, so maybe the Big One is around the corner...

Sergio, Maybe you should send you're 21 fretter over here for safe keeping!
No, I'm not Elys! Image

Glad you're OK, Paul!
My brother lived there for 10 years, and it always made us nervous when we would here about a shake-up.

Well, I'm sticking to my 21 fretter no matter what happens, but I'd be willing to send my 4080 your or anyone else's way...

Sérgio, I am sorry to hear that you are stuck to Jaclyn now! Did you polish Jaclyn with Krazy Glue by mistake today? Image

You know in your heart that she wishes to visit me for a vacation soon.... Image Image

Hi Elys. Sorry, but Jaclyn isn't going anywhere without me. And we make a killing wherever we go, believe me.
Any "news" on the TRC I sent you five weeks back?

4.2! That isn't much of a quake for San Franciscan's. I was on the phone with my mother and she didn't know their was a quake. I do remember the '89 quake though. That one you definitely felt.

Hi Sérgio, no, no package up until last Saturday. I left on Sunday afternoon for Chicago, and have not been home since, so maybe it came this week while I was gone. I am flying back from Chicago to DC tonight, and will check as soon as I get in.

I have been away from personal email all that time, but can surf this web site on my handheld PDA and get business email from a different address. How cool is that, modern technology lets me take the RRF wherever I travel Image Image

I felt the '89 quake while waiting in line to check into my cabin at Curry Village in Yosemite Valley 150 miles to the East! It was stong enough to shake the chandeliers and rock the whole place. In fact IIRC, there were some rockslides throughout the park, also.

I was sitting in my living room in Martinez waiting for the World Series game to start. I was actually aware of *waves* in my swimming pool before I realised that a whole lot else was moving.....

I take it Martinez is not in MN! :D

Now that would have been quite a quake Image

No, Martinez is to the north and east of San Francisco. My wife was at a trade show just south of the airport (SFO) when it happened, and had a much rougher ride than I did. She didn't get home until 6 or 7 hours later, by which time we'd had an aftershock or two (if memory serves me correctly) - they were almost more unnerving than the event itself.

About 15 years ago there was a mild earthquake in South Haven MI when we were over there driving around. When we stopped at a gas station everyone asked if we had felt the quake, but alas no. Fault runs right up the middle of Lake Michigan, which was news to me.
