Did RIC ever make a 4003/01 "S" fretless?

I don't remember ever seeing one. All the fretless models I've seen have the binding on them. Though they do have the dot fretless fingerboards. I could be wrong though.

Thanks Randy,

Neither have I, but I wondered if they were ever made.

Anyone else out there? Anyone know if RIC made an "S" fretless?

We've recently seen a fretless 4000, so there may very well be a few out there.

Yes they did. Forumite Bill Henshell has one. It is the only one I have ever seen but they probably made others.

OH MY....What a sweet bass!

I am in LOVE, again....

I have SUCH a case of RIC Fretless GAS.

Bill, you have a BEAUTIFUL bass there....thank you for posting the picture.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I think I have a hopeless case RAS now.

Jeff, would you mind posting a pic of your baby as well?

Wow, very cool. Talk about rare as hen's teeth?

Here you go, Tony:

Not the best photo, but you get the idea. Mine's a '92. Still has the old round "Made in the USA" sticker on the pickguard. Has the side dots where every fret would be.

I saw another one just like it at RIC factory museum last summer, but those are the only 2 4003SFL's I've ever seen.
