. . . is now at $4,000 with 13 hours to go. But the two competing bidders are Zero feedback, one a newb. Should be interesting.

Has anyone noticed that desirable ricks are going for really high prices lately? What C.S's used to go for has sort of translated across to other models, looks like there's some rick fever spreading. That's real good for the seller, not so good for the buyer. There's still some good deals out there if you look hard, I got this bass for about half the price of some of the recent high water marks....

What Mark isn't telling us is that is all he has, the upper horn, the rest of the bass is missing! Image

The scheduled ending time MIGHT be a hindrance to a feeding frenzy at the auctions close.

This is amazing IF they really do pay up.

Yup, I got the upper horn, I'm supposed to pick up the rest today after work- Image. I like the fact that Fedex will hold the package for you at their destination facility, UPS won't do that, they have to attempt to deliver at least once before they will hold. Very inconvenient for people who aren't home during the day.

It's right in the area of what I originally thought these basses would go for.

Tony, I agree with you - I would have planned a different end time...

What worries me for Edgar's sake is sometimes two zero bidders will bid high, scaring off others, then at the last moment possible, retract their bids, leaving someone else a top. In this case the guy that bid 3K.

That's why you can't let 0 feedback's bid on expensive items. Too costly for the sellers.

Check out bidder #6, he's bid MULTIPLE times OVER the 4K mark, if someone else bids, he'll be countering! I sure hope he is serious for Edgar's sake.

Why do you think that Jeff?

They guy is from the UK, the exchange rate is favorable, no?

Being a ZERO feedback buyer, I'd be nervous, but, only time will tell.
