I searched the forum & didn't find the answer to my questions so I apologize if I missed it and opinions & guidance have already been proffered. I've read a lot of great info on the internet and this forum with respect to how to properly set up RIC guitars and basses. Thank you, Rickenbacker moguls!

I'm far from technical with guitars. I have natural technical aptitude with computers and such that I hope will lend itself to doing my own setups, so here goes. I think I'm finally ready to start taking care of this stuff on my own.

I restrung my 360DG this past week and noted that the intonation is most definitely in need of adjustment. I understand how to remedy this but I haven't seen on any "how to" thread recommendations for what types of tuners to use. I don't think I'm willing to spend the big bucks on an industrial-strength Peterson Strobe tuner; I'd like to pick up a unit that's very accurate but that won't decimate my checking account. I'm not even sure how much is a reasonable amount to spend for such a tool.

Yes J.O.B, the Korg CA-30 is by far the best low-end tuner that I've struck.

Ummmm..... that doesn't mean to say that I hit them with a big stick or anything...........

I got the analog Korg like that and it was around $15 locally. I like a meter better than stepped digital display. I found it works better for bass using the built-in mic than plugged into the amp's tuner out. The lower two strings respond better. Of course the amp is on and sounding, no problem when practicing at home.
