Thanks for this Graham. It is so nice to visit the lion's share or Rickenbacker exhibits around the world just by tapping a mouse.

Wow! That's one cool-looking Rick bass and a fitting tribute to Chris Squire. Me likes.

The bridge PU surround is upside down and one dot on the fret board is missing!?

Looks like its a V63. Slotted tailpiece and missing the dot on the fretboard. Its kinda hard to tell because of the custom paint, the black pickguard, and the camera angle, but it might be a regular V63 surround mounted the correct way, but it may also have had its tail shaved.

I heard a while back from another forumite that the black/grey CS that was in a store in our neck of the woods was finally sold.

Thanks Graham! That is really cool! For some reason I have always liked the art from that album. Man what a line that could be - Ric stars on their signature ax.....

If you really like this bass, it will be sold at an auction to be held by Christies in London later this year, to benefit various charities.
