Hi - Am just writing as I'm curious about the specification of my 360/12. It's a jetglo model , s/n ZA 0012 but comes, apparently factory fitted, with both toaster pickups and grover tuning heads... is this normal or could it be that this is a custom order... help
Just as a matter of interest - reading the posts about which amp is most suitable for the Ricky, I have to say that my Traynor Mark 3 (possibly early 70's) gives me everything I need and the 360 just sings through it....wonderful piece of it but getting rarer so I hear...
Chris, your guitar dates to January 1986 (Z=1986, A=January). The vintage reissue toasters were an add-on factory option, and I believe that Grovers probably were in use by then (my 1984 325v59 has its original Kluson double line tuners, but I think RIC ran out of existing stock of those not long afterwards). I have a 1987 320 Silver, but I can't remember what tuners it has. I'll take it out after work later today and check whether it has Grovers, too.
It's always good to hear about good RIC-friendly amps. I have been amazing people lately with the sound of my 660/12TP FG through my Crate GX-40C+ solid state amp; they can't believe that I can get the Mister Tambourine Man intro sound out of such a little a little SS amp! And with no pedals!
It is better, of course, to know useless things than to know nothing. - Seneca
Thanks for your info - clears up a few confusions I had... never tried a 660 by the way - must make mental note to...what's the difference in sound like between that and, say, a 360?
