I've sold three Rics in the past month and am down to my keepers. It seems strange only having two to chose from. I'll be looking, once again, for a 4004 for my 8 string project so these won't be alone for long.



Sorry for the so-so pics. I was playing with my new camera and have to tweak the settings a little to get a better resolution that I can shrink down to forum requirements and keep the detail .

A couple of months ago I might have been hot for your former Ci, but I've learned to live with what I've got. Anyway, I have a 650 Dakota that sorta looks like a Ci.

Someday I might even play guitar a lot again. Maybe.

I'm not complaining about my leftovers. I loved all of my recent Rics but these two were the head of the class so I kept 'em. My only slight regret is parting with the Ci but at the time it didn't seem as though the V63 was going to move so I had to make a tough choice.

Robert.....obviously I highly recommend that you acquire a 4004.

Ed......you don't think the Laredo is trashed with the painted fretboard and non-original hardware? I know how you like' em pure as Ric intended.

John....anyone is free to touch, play and lightly abuse the LK and Laredo next month. Try to leave with it and that's another story (let's just say a law was recently passed that allows me to take my work hardware outside of my home state).

Actually, the "Black is Black" works pretty well. But I leave the modifications to my Fenders (have 3 Fenders, and not one hasn't had something done to it!)...

A Canon Powershot SD900....



....I needed a new point and shoot type camera and liked the Canons best. I was torn between this one (10.0 MP) and the SD800 (7.1 MP w/image stabilization). Both take great pics and the image stabilization was a plus on the SD800 but I didn't really see the need after experimenting with them both for some time at the store. It's nice, small, sturdy and relatively simple....it seems to be perfect for my needs.

That's what I've always said, but the subject was anatomy, or some such IIRC..

I find the IS useful for taking pics of the band at normal (low) gig lighting levels given the slow shutter speeds involved. Shari's cousin, who lives in Germany, has a similar camera to yours and I am quite impressed with the photos he sends us.

My next RIC WILL be a 4004 I think.

I also have quite some problems in down sizing the pics to the forum requirement and still keep them sharp. Is there any recommended procedure?

When I got my Canon 30D (8.2 Mp) I was concerned that it would be harder to make forum size pics that looked good, but in reality the pics look even better than the ones from my old Minolta Dimage A1 (5 Mp) camera. I use the 'save for web' feature of Photoshop 5.5 after resizing the image to no larger than 500 x 500 pixels.

But then again it needs to be less than 36kb, which I often do not achieve!
