Shameless band plug. My cover band will be providing the background noise for the libations this weekend at Daily's Grill in Rancho Santa Margarita. More of the late night Rickensnarl by yours truly.

I followed the link - saw the guy holding the bass, and, hey, I know that guy!
Good luck and have a Guinness for me, Scott. Break a leg, not a string!

I've got a LONG gig tomorrow afternoon. I'm definitley looking forward to a pint of Guinness before the set...and the cheap beer throughout the rest of the show.

You too John - have a great time. I'm going to a party tomorrow and supposed to take my bass so I guess I'll see what develops. Maybe we'll find a guitarist or hopefully a drummer!

Our band has a gig for St. Patty's. I just found out that our local police will have a checkpoint right on my way home, so I guess I'll wait until I'm back in the house and the shoes are off before downing anything good.

I'm definitely not going to risk drinking tonite. It's all Ric and Coke for me tonite.

A D.U.I. will ruin your life and the lives of others.
If we are driving during a gig, little to no drinking is allowed (band rules). Just in case there is a question, we purchased one of these..

Thank God in 30 years of playing we have had no issues.

You're right about the D.U.I. and being sober makes it easier to handle the drunks. Besides, I like to get up in the morning and do things with the family which is hard to do when nursing a hangover. I prefer to do my drinking at home.

Probably a bear to get out of the treble pup cavity as well.

We've got a gig in a dive tonight...I leave the Rics at home at this place. The video poker machine is dangerously close to my rig and I'm always afraid some drunk will fall on top of my bass, so it's a cheap bass for St. Patty!

Smart move Les. Break a leg not a Rickenbacker bass

After about a year, I'm finally going to gig again!!
Not this weekend, but on March 31, the band that I've rejoined has it's first gig of this year.
Anyone gigging tonight, have a fun and safe one!

Vomit and blood are the only acceptable forms of relic'ing a bass.
