Symbolic (Motorcars) of La Jolla has gotten into guitars in a big way. They recently acquired a controlling interest in Ed's operation. They have been buying up guitar collections all over the planet the last year or two. Among these are numerous Ricks.
I've heard rumors of something like 40 early 4000 basses as well...

WEll then, that would explain it. I thought that they must've come from a collection. Now where are those basses?

I think Nick Theil's buying for them at the moment? Perhaps he got these?
