Has anyone tried one of these? I like Brian May's sound, though it's not a sound I aspire to generally. I do like the idea of the half power switch, and oddly enough just the single control for volume. No reviews on Harmony Central yet, though Gary at North Coast seems to like it. Anyone?

They sound good, but I prefer a regular AC30 to these as they're much more versatile, and you can still get the same sounds of that Brian May model with a booster pedal and using the normal channel.

Just to follow up on my own thread ...
I had a chance to try one of these last week. Very much a one trick pony. Not that that's bad, and if your looking for the Brian May sound this thing nails it. But I couldn't seem to get the clean Vox sparkle at all. Too bad - I still like the idea of an amp with a single knob. Generally I always set them to one sound and leave it anyway - probably why my all my amps pots all have dead spots in them!
I've purchased an AC30-CC1. Hoping the single 12 has the same sound with 20 lbs less weight than the twin.

I was tempted on this amp too...thanks, Jim for your appraisal.

Dr. Z makes amps with one volume and a "tone" knob, as well as one with a volume, bass and treble knob. Dying to try one out.

I don't like a lot of knobs and "presence" and "middle" just seem like too many choices to make!
