Getting Marc ready for MARF

After this week, the next two weeks are going to be a blur.

I am studying for my NJ real estate license, and will be crazed the last two weeks of April. Throw my daughter's Bat Mitzvah in on 4/28, the week after MARF (btw, that'll be an interesting thread, the aftermaf of MARF)...just jammed...Not to mention, despite popular belief, I do work for a living.

Since I don't gig or anything, I'm taking out my basses this weekend, checkin'm out, and making sure they are up to confluence standard. I will also be bringing a little non-Ric surprise as a goof.

Not sure if I'm staying over or what. The tough thing is Friday, when my class is over, I will be close to the area. So I have to decide if I should stay Friday..

Still praying a 4003DCM will show up prior. If it does, I promise to break NO seal on the carton so that it can be properly unveiled at MARF.

I hope you get your DCM by then Marc!

I'm busy up until MARF as well. With opening day (blizzard fiasco) yesterday my moonlighting schedule is in full swing so I'm working double shifts most any day there is a game. I think the Tribe is out of town most of the week prior to the fest so I should get a little break.

I'm also mid way through a bathroom project and since I rarely hire outside contractors I have some busy days wiring and plumbing on the horizon.

And for something relaxing and fun I almost have my GN running so I'll be busy tuning in the new turbo, intercooler and soon to be purchased alcohol injection. Good times, good times......(in best Phil Hartman insincere voice)

I'm certainly looking forward to MARF!

Marc, I too am still unsure as to whether i'm going to be staying. The reason being that if its anything like SoCal '06, i'm going to be in no position to be driving!

I have a feeling it'll be Lo-cal compared to SoCal.

I'll be there from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. If we're all staying at the Hampton, we should be able to find somewhere close (crawling distance) to enjoy some liquid refreshments.

Do they have wheel-barrow service?

I am on medication that will not allow me to drink, so I can be the designated wheel barrow driver.

So today I finally get a set of 5 string LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats for my BEAD Red Laredo so it's in top notch form for MARF. I clip 'em and am tuning up when "PING" the D string unravels at the silk by the tuner (never had that happen before). DRATS!!!!! I emailed LaBella and I figure that they'll hook me up but perhaps not in time for the weekend. I could tune it BEAG since I have the extra string handy but that's sort of lame for anyone that checks it out. I want my 4004s to be abused and enjoyed while we are on our little vacation.

That kinda sucks - though it is only Monday. Maybe it will be though Brian.

BEAG? Sounds like a great opportunity to discover a new tuning.
