Sergio has just shipped two pickups that I will retrofit into my Cii/5. From all the past threads on the sound and quality of his pickups, I am looking forward to hearing them and playing this bass again.

Sergio, is this a first for doing a Cii pup? Did you do humbucking or single coil? Color me curious.

Sergio - do these pickups fit it the existing body routes?

Paul, I think the PUPs will put a big smile on your face. Sergio did a brilliant job of building me from scratch a PUP for my '73 4000. It is now my Ric of choice when I gig, need I say more?

To answer your questions:
John: 1) No; 2) single coil.
Steve: no.
Bob: no.

Sérgio is also doing some "artwork" on one of my high gains to convert it into a "high-gain-toaster". I'm really excited to experience this new "Silva-Machine"!

Actually it will be hot, even though wound to a conservative 8.0 K. Also, the six polepieces on it will be staggered to match fretboard radius.

Er...

Make that "to a conservative 6.7 K". Bear in mind that "High output doesn't live by large coils alone", or some such philosophy...

And....Sergio has just rewound my '69 horseshoe bobbin.
We are fortunate to have him.

A bit late, but yes, let's hear it for Sergio!
He has made a lot of us very happy, in fact he did such a good job on my 4000 that I don't play any other RIC at the moment. I think that's a good thing ....

As a result of his work on my higains to toaster conversions, Sergio has turned my 350 into a guitar that I can't put down...
He's the best. IMO
