Kinda strange how many flashbulbs go off during our shows and how few photos we actually ever see from fans, but here's one from last Sunday's gig in a huge park in Sugarland,Texas.

Cool! My family comes from Angleton - we always pass the exit for Sugarland on the way to visit them! Where'd you get the cool jacket, Ronn?

I found a guy online who makes 'em so we ordered 5. We used to wear matching black suits and ties but these new ones, which kinda resemble the Shea Stadium jackets, are much more comfy.

I played in Crockett, Texas a few years ago. And I've never played in hotter tempretures in my life. It was a outside charity gig, and it had to be at least 100 degrees in the shade. The restrooms had no AC and I guarantee that it was at least 130 in there. It was a fun gig, but the heat was miserable.

Ronn, I know you do it all the time, but every time I see a leftie strung rightie, I come unglued. I can't fathom how someone can learn an instrument upside down like that. I know there are lots of people who do it that way, though.

Paul, I would imagine if you already knew how to play and then flipped your guitar and tried to play upside-down it would be tuff. Luckily I had no idea what I was doing.

I do it both ways, LOL.
When I was in high school, I played the school's 1970 Jazz Bass upside down---I didn't want to leave my Rickenbacker in the instrument storage room because I didn't trust people to not fiddle with it. When I play my '57 Hofner in a show I still do the upside-down thing.....this particular bass cannot be strung lefty due to the way the early tailpieces are made, and I ain't drillin' any holes.....

I admire you for the Lefty learning not leaning. I guess I don't have that much desire to do it. I have a buddy who is a drummer. He's a great musician on almost any instrument.
Anyway he is missing a tip off one of his fingers on his left hand. So he plays guitar upside down lefty tuned to and E chord. Kinda keeps you guessing.
I hate the heat too and I live in North Alabama I've been to Texas a few times in July. Believe me its not a dry heat here or there.
