I know what you mean John-I feel the same way. I really admire watching a guy play this style of music and can appreciate the technical skill, ability, and musicality it takes. After a couple of tunes in this style though, I find my attention wandering. And I'm not sure why because again, it is very impressive and I respect guys that can play like that, very much. I too don't aspire to this kind of playing. It just doesn't DO it for me. So much of what goes into music appreciation is intangible, isn't it.
