Ugh. Couldn't think of a worse color (looks like baby food after it's been filtered through a baby's alimentary tract). Top it off with a barnyard floor pickguard, and all those other conflicting details...

Hank will be the Red Strat Man. Always.

You know I don't usually trash these other guitars that are posted but that is butt ugly. Especially all the guards.

Hank's Burns' six string is anything but pretty, however, for those of you who have seen the last Shadows Tour the tone is excellent.

Re: Avalon. Sometimes a design is more than the sum of its component features, like both the Tele and Strat and many Ricks.

Sometimes it's considerably less, as in the case of this Avalon. Ugh.

Way, way considerably less. Way.

Way...

Never heard of it and then run into it twice in one night!

Here is why the Avalon is famous and desirable by some people(like Me):

Oh, I get it now...so BAD it's GOOD?

The headstock puts it over the top. Goodnight, Chet.

Actually, i think they're nice in a way, in their own special way. But that's just my opinion, and tastes differ, of course... the numerous "plates" on the one which is on ebay look a bit strange, though.

Those numerous plates are on all these Burns, Sheena. But on most, they're in black on white or white on black. And that makes a big difference.

Hmmmm... actually, i'm not a big fan of b&w, and as far as the pic posted by Andrew is concerned... i'd rather go for the brown one. Image
