Does anyone know if all the Bass Drum heads with the "THE BEATLES" logo on them are owned by Ringo?
If not, have any of them ever turned up anywhere else? Auctions, Museums etc........

There's One in the Hard Rock Cafe in Beirut, not sure if it's real though, I also saw the original sheet for the "imagine" lyrics

I'm not sure if he owns even one of them. I think there were 7 produced.

The drum head from the Ed Sullivan Show resides in Columbia, MD and was won in an auction in 1994 for $43,000. Here is a copy.

It is hand painted with no paste on or computer graphics. The only decal is the "Weather King".

Excuse me for the delay. I had to find the web site. Check out beatlesuits.com. There is a lot of information there. Check out the Sgt. Pepper heads!

Yep, Russ Lease owns the Sullivan head, I've seen it up close.....very cool. Russ has many original Beatle artifacts, and a left-handed 320B from '82 if I'm not mistaken. A great guy to boot.

It's a real shame that Ringo doesn't seem to have any of the 7 that were made!

I wonder how much they really care about a lot of this stuff? (not to be rude, Mike).

Seems if it was out there for sale or not, and they wanted it, they could have it for a price.

There were four Ludwig Black Pearl kits, and the Ludwig Hollywood "Let It Be" kit. Ringo still owns all of them. However, only the tom and snare of the very first Ludwig kit remain. The Premier kit that was reported to be the one Ringo played when he joined the Beatles sold at auction years ago.

I know ay least one Beatles drum head was burned in a fire in Los Angeles in the late 70s, when he briefly lived there. I think other artifacts burned also.

If you look at the early photos of Wings, while Denny Seiwell was on drums, you will see a set of Ringo's drums at the Macca home. As far as the logo heads, watch the opening of Let It Be and you will see Mal loading in the Hofner case and a new drum head still in plastic. These guys used this gear as tools and I doubt they really cared that much for the duplicate items.

Maybe after the fact they may have started to get the stuff back, but at the time it was just "stuff".

Regards,
