Well, has anyone seen or heard of one? With the recent SG talk it occurred to me that I've never seen one.

Shouldn't be too much trouble to whip one up on demand...

I'm not sure that the 4004 would present SG at it's best. IMO there needs to be some contrast to set it off. Too much open real estate on a 4004. Maybe with a custom 4003-ish pickguard or some sort of two tone. Hmmmmm.

There's definitely one out there somewhere. I think it'd have a similar visual impact as my 4004L BB - too much real estate, not enough contrast. Dane's pickguard set it off well.

That's what I was thinking, John, when Brian asked that - Danes quasi tear-shaped pg would work on a sea green 4004, taking up some of the spacious landscape (with a light color like SG or BB).

A nicely grained maple is the perfect look for a 4004, imho!

LOL!

Not to say that there aren't any, but I've been documenting Rick basses for the last three years and have not seen or heard of a 4004 in SG. It would not be out of the question, though. I agree with the others that the 4003 looks better in this color. I've seen photos of two or three 4003, one or two V63, and one 4003S/5 in Sea Green. Hell, I've never seen one in person, but I've seen several Lemmy's, 75th Ann. DCMs, Rednecks, Blackstars, Tuxes, Shadows, 4005s . . . Sea Green must be awfully rare.

Transparent Sea Green would look cool on a 4004 ;-)

The amount of color that is exposed on a 4004 model is a factor in color selection. I'm betting that white is going to look great, just like black does, guess we'll find out by the end of this year...Image.
