I like the forthright description, " ...with lots of wear."
'Ya think?

Willy Nelson has an old Martin with a hole in the face from play wear, sounds great.

The prognosis remains guarded, Dr Who.

You know, this guitar - despite not being a Rick 1930s spanish guitar, does have a lot of potential. Unlike Dr. Who changing actors periodically via regeneration, this guitar is - however many holes it has - a real 1950 specimen that could be rebuilt into a magnificent rebuild of the original. Tuners are original, and they don't come like that anymore. And this guitar could be had for likely a fairly low-dollar buyin Image

It will take the skills of a Dale or more likely (as an acoustic) a Paul, to bring her back to life completely.

Would such a restored guitar really be worth $2K or so, after costs of restoral, though? What do you think?

I wouldn't do it for $...I'd do it for the sound.

It does give me warm fuzzies, I have to admit. I like it. Something about acoustic Gibsons...

Of COURSE only would one do it for the sound! No way would this ever be sold, just wondering if it is worth the investment to have a rare playing treasure for the music room, that's all Image
