everything was as described but an issue with the strap pins wasn't mentioned, only that it has straplocks. I guess straplocks meant a screw through a strap into the wood. Took the screw and the little piece of tape off and this is what I saw.

My sympathies, Sean. This sort of misrepresentation drives me nutz, too. I'd send him an e-mail along with the photos and aske him if he would adjust the price, in light of the strap lock situation.

All my old stage basses have a giant screw with a giant metal washer. Who needs stinkin' strap locks?!?!

The BronzeGlo™ Abomination© came complete with original RIC drywall screw and RIC washer permanently attaching the strap to the horn and bee-hind.
Those vintage items were replaced with Strap-loks™© brand strap locks©™

Might want to add a note that Silver was available, possibly on a limited basis, beyond 1984. My 320 SIL is from April 1987 (D0 date code). IIRC, Mike Parks also has at least one SIL (possibly a 4003) later than 1984 on one of his Sold pages.

I said that without saying it, but I revised it a bit to make it clearer. Gracias.

Bob, I checked your band website, I notice you do a song by The Outfield. I use to roadie for them back in the '80s, they're good guys. On tour they had a blind keyboard player, all the knobs and switches on his keyboard had braille text.
Anyway, just wanted to say that brought back memories.

"All my old stage basses have a giant screw with a giant metal washer. Who needs stinkin' strap locks?!?!"
That is exactly what I had on my old P bass for 24 years, never hit the floor, kept the neck strap screwed right to the bass, never came off.

I hope the sale goes well Sean. That is a cool story Ronn. I really liked The Outfield. Our female lead actually sings that song. BTW, are either of you going to Bass Emporium tomorrow (Thursday) night for the Chuck Rainey clinic?

I'm not.
