That's' Bob Warford on lead guitar with Linda. That white Telecaster Bob is playing originally belonged to Clarence White. It is THE Telecaster Clarence used on the Byrds 'Sweetheart Of The Rodeo' LP. The Telecaster originally belonged to Buck Owens.

Looks like the Eagles behind her on Desperado. I know they were her backup band early on, but with the big hair, it's kinda hard to figure if it is them or not.

Don Henley on Drums, Glen Frey on Piano, Bernie Leadon on Tele with a B bender and Randy Meisner on Bass..The original 4 piece band. Boy they were pretty skinny and lots of big hair...We saw them at the Anaheim Stadium as the backup and top billing band for Browne,Gold,Linda,Souther and even Felder and Walsh sat in. That was a transition time when Bernie was leaving the group...They were Southern Californias best in the early 70's..It was a day time concert with festival seating, so we got to sit on the grass and rove around during the performance. We had a very memorable time as guests of David Lindley and Jackson's.

I still haven't got over the firing of Felder. I saw the last tour, and he was sorely missed IMHO! The Hotel California cut from Hell Freezes Over, is some of the best guitar work I've heard, and Joe was the icing.

You know, this is a really stupid observation and I don't mean to hijack this thread but I'm sitting here, after a fulfilling recording session with just me and about 6 other tracks of myself, 2 or 3 glasses of nice wine, and I look at this video clip (the first one with Linda Ronstadt doing Desperado) and what strikes me is that she has such beautiful teeth-I mean they're not in a perfectly symmetrical line all polished up looking like they've been bought at the local tooth and dime or that they are silicon implants. The front ones are a little bigger and each corresponding set on the top and bottom have their own distinctive contour/chracter to them. They're lovely and unique, the kind of dental set that could easily get her identified if she ever fell onto foul play. And I can't help but think that if she were a pop star today, her teeth just wouldn't be like that - some corporate jerk along the way would have suggested she get her teeth "fixed" or she would have felt compelled to do it anyway, even without the jerk's prodding. It says so much about the music/entertainment biz today. We've lost so much of that distinctiveness and so much of what gets pumped out now is like what Linda's teeth ain't in this video.

And I feel like a fool for putting out a post like this. But the teeth! Who else could I tell, hoping that there might be some sense made of such an outrageous and frivolous observation?

Are you telling me that's the Eagles back there (to try and get some credibility out of this post)? Big hair, yes - but why aren't they showing me their smiles?

I think I've heard this criticism of the Eagles before: as great as their music is, they are not very dynamic onstage.

I think Felder is in that Desperado clip, too, in the back on stage left.

Charly: Henleys and Felders egos clashed. Henley was quite the songwriter and founder of the Eagles, Felder wasn't. Don was a great guitarist and took offence to Henleys control of the band in so many ways that it brought about their parting of ways. The ego is a funny thing in matters like that. Paul, that is Don at stage right and you never see Glen on the piano, guess the camera was to focused on Linda.

You see Glen right at the beginning with the piano intro, stage right front near the camera, then it's mostly Linda.
