Back when I was doing Asian sourcing, our rule of thumb was:

Retail price=cost to make (materials + labor) X 6.

Even if this is no longer accurate, this monstrosity probably cost no more than $100 to make. We'd have to conclude that the parts probably aren't the best quality...

It is shiny, though!

This is the same brand as my tripleneck 6/7/12 guitar. It's actually not half bad for the money, but I still feel dirty.
