I purchased this bass from Japan almost a year ago. The tailpiece was pitted terribly. It has since been re-chromed and now looks like new, thanks to Ted Staberow! Anyway, thought I'd post some pictures. Thanks for looking:

And thanks for posting it Mike. She's ultra sweet!

What is old Ted up to these days anyway? I haven't heard from him or read any posts in quite a while.

Definitely nice to look at! Where is ole Ted - he hasn't been around in way too long and no pictures of his handiwork in an even longer time. Wonder how the mock 4002 is coming along....

Once of the nicest basses I've seen.

Ted's been super involved with coaching youth baseball and a major revamp of computers in his school system where he works as a systems manager (or something like that). I talk with him once in a while when I can catch him at home. Ted is one of those guys who bites off more than he can chew right away, so he keeps on chewing until it gets done. He'll resurface one of these days.

Mike, no need to thank us for looking at that! I second the thanks for posting it!

I'm in full agreement, one of the nicest I've seen, but then I'm with Chris; a '72 Azure is my dream Ric. I'm just hoping my project (which has strayed slightly from the original plan) turns out half that nice, although given it's in the best possible hands I'm sure it'll be fantastic.
