I just found this and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the way this thing is wired. Supposedly, from the story, it's all original. Custom order, I guess? I thought it was worth a peak!

You can see the old masking tape thru the pick guard.

It could be an one off???

Might have been a special order. Vol/ tone/ toggle. The PG and tape all look legit.

Prototype electronics for a future 4004 series?

- the pickguard looks quite transparent, maybe it is just the flashing camera
- look at the bridge and the position of the saddles LOL

Hmmm...A special order? A one-off? I don't think so. "The pickguard looks legit." So does the one I fashioned a couple weeks back for my 1970 21 fret 4001. "The tape looks legit."

Methinks the thumb rest is from a Fender.....
