Milwaukee Forumite assistance possibly required

Anybody in the Milwaukee area with some spare time and a strong back? Someone in the area is selling a bass cabinet that I'd really like to get but they aren't interested in shipping. I'm all for a road trip but my schedule is a little tight right now. If someone could possibly pick it up for me and hold on to it for a few weeks (max) that would be great. I'm not sure if it is necessary yet since we're still trading emails but I'm trying to get my "ducks in a row" just in case. It's about the size of a 6x10 and a whopping 170 lbs. (FYI).

That as heavy as a vintage Ampeg V4-B with the white-basket Altec 15s from the early 70s. I bought two of those a couple of years ago, and the guy also did not want to ship. So I got a moving and storage company to go get them and hold them, and I drove up the next week. Cost me $120, cheap.
Isn't Paul Boyer just 20 miles north of Milwaukee in Cedarburg WI? Write him - I bet he would either be willing to or knows someone who would!

It's no biggie and I understand it might be a PITA.....I just thought I'd throw it out there. I still have to finalize the deal anyway!

I'd like to help, but I don't have the back for it, nor a vehicle the proper size. Brian, if you get in a pinch, let me know and I'll see if I can arrange something.
And, Brian, thanks for convincing my wife, Dorothy, on the Garmin. I know have a 660!

Thanks Paul......I'm hoping I can get it to work out without involving anyone else. I'm looking forward to the drive but it will be a rushed one.
I didn't convince her Paul....as soon as you walked away she asked for info on it and was all set to get it for your B-day (IIRC). She was just concerned that you'd get it first. I did a ton of research before I made the plunge and I hope it works out for you since it was at least partially due to my recommendation.

I'm around an hour south of Milwaukee and I have a Chevy Malibu Maxx in which I can haul my Ampeg 215 monstrosity, so I might be able to help you out, Brian, if you can't find anyone in Milwaukee. I don't recall if there are any forumites in Milwaukee or not.

Robert, I'm in Cedarburg, and Jeff Hansen is in Milwaukee. If this comes about, maybe all of us can meet for lunch or something?

As long as it's on a weekend, I don't see why not!
