A new low...Richardson should have his head examined.
And then cut off.
Seeing that once-glorious and beautiful artifact being hauled away on that cheap rent-a-trailer kind of underscores the evanescent nature of life for me.
There needs to be a hound dog in the picture, too, somewhere. I'll bet it's been cropped out.

This kind of thing makes the battles between Buddy's family members and Maria Elena Holly look like high diplomacy.
This doesn't make my already low opinion of Ebay any better, either.
The apparent untruthfulness of it is interesting as well. When the Big Bopper was exhumed it was said to be because some goofball wrote a book about how he was shot after the crash and an examination was necessary to disprove that claim. No mention of that here.
This guy must be seriously broke. I guess the Big Bopper tribute gigs are not bringing in the $. Would it not be dignified to donate it so some poor guy could receive a proper burial?

Well, I saw it while it was still up, but apparently it's been...deleted?

Yeah, it's deleted now, dammit!

Did anyone save it and could post it here? I could use a good laugh.

Unfortunately, no. Let us hope that it was a ruse. It HAD to be, eh?
I mean, $250,000. For that I'd want the original interior if not the Bopper himself.

It is gone and replaced by a book collection!

I was wondering what the fuss was about.
The link is for books.
(I don't see the "scanned covers" by the way.)

No matter what's up there now, the title says it all, what it originally was.

Here's the story, written by the guy who posted the auction of the coffin:

And a bit of ghoulish nostalgia:
