How many different finishes were offered for the V63?

Scott, I know of at least 4: MG & FG as the introduction. I've seen JG and Mike Parks as a Seagreen (not for sale). I read on this forum that just about every Rick color was released. I haven't seen any other color (factory released) from what I recall – don’t take this as gospel, I'm by no means an expert here. I bought my V63 pretty much when they were introduced and the only options then were MG and FG.
cheers

The V63 started out as the C64 did. Only available in MG and FG. Once in a while they'll finish one in JG. Rudy? It's next years special color ;^)

Sea Green is the only special color I've seen on a V63. That's not to say there are no other special color V63s out there. If there are, the owners are keeping them well guarded!

Chris Clayton had one in Midnight Blue on his website within the past year.

FYI Mike Parks will part with the sea green 4001v63 for a mere $2995. I was just about to pull the trigger on it when my jetglo became available.

Desert gold would be cool. How about white? or would that have been to similar to the CS model? If you go to the main site here,..click on photo's,..then click BASS photo's,.. and finally click on group #2 you will see a very nice turquoise one. Just curious.

V63s were available in any finish offered by Rickenbacker when I ordered my second one in 1997, but I decided on Fireglo anyway...I've seen 'em in seagreen, Desert Gold, Midnight Blue, Turquoise, Red, White, and maybe a few other finishes(can't remember)

I had a white one. And there was a weird tangerine V63 on ebay a while back.

It's a shame they didn't do Montezuma Brown when they were making the V63. That would have been an awesome color for that bass. I hope they might do a C64 in MB, but I'm not counting on it. BTW, my V63 is MG,and it is an excellent bass.
