When my bid for two Toaster pickups on Ebay was bested today at over $181, I decided to hell with it, and decided to order them from Chris at Pick of The Ricks. The guy seems like a real gentleman. He explained that he expected a shipment in within several weeks, but "you know how Rickenbacker is with back orders." I have heard, believe me. He was told that Rickenbacker put in a work order for 350 pickups to be manufactured, so it should be about three weeks. Chris agreed to measure the output of each and mark the hottest one for the treble position. I'm really looking forward to tricking out the Hi-Gains on my 330-12 for the sonic and visual improvement of the Toasters.

Chris is a good dealer. I bought my toaster pickup from him and he was very good at keeping me up to date and getting all my random pieces together. As I waited for the pickup I added more items (cloths, strings...) and he didn't seem to mind my barrage of emails.
