Easing The Pain on 12 string restringing

I thought of this a while ago, not sure why I never posted it. Grover makes a locking tuner that dosen't have a thumbweel on it. you just put the string in and it locks. I thought that would make stringing 12 string guitars SO much easier, just slide it in and you're done, no need to wind and wind and wind and wind...

Has RIC ever thought of this, tried it, passed on it? Any regular folk tried it?

I never change the strings on my 12. I take it to my guitar tech...even he hates doing it! By the time it's ready for strings, it's usually also ready for a setup or a neck tweek.

Put the string in the "R", then put a capo on so it doesn't fall out.

The only annoying part for me was always the R tailpiece on my 370/12. Since I sold that one, my 12's have all had trapeze tailpieces and there's been no aggrivation involved.
