Johnny Marr joined Modest Mouse.
On this tour he plays a black 370 RM for just one song (thorugh a Fender Reverb amp).

Very cool. I'll have to catch them the next time they're through the DC area.
I seem to recall seeing photos of him with that guitar when he was on the road with the Healers. Love that 12-string slice-through-the-mix on "Bangin' On".

yeah, i liked Bangin On, too! great stuff on it!
saw him with the Healers, too. in 2003. and, yes, he did have the same guitar with him there, too

He is so good with Ricks. As well as "other" guitars! He inspired me to get my 330/12 back in '89

I love Johnny. He's pretty much the reason I ever wanted to pick up a guitar in the first place. I still remember that first time I saw the video to This Charming Man - I was hooked on Rickenbackers and The Smiths for ever!
Some of his recent stuff with MM is pretty great actually.
