Custom Ric?

Hi
I am thinking of taking a 330/360 mapleglo and somehow replacing the neck and putting a maple neck on say like the colarado/dakota style with chrome hardware I think this would be a stunning guitar and I know this is no mean feat but would welcome any views.
Has anyone customized their ric any pics?

Replacing the neck would be a big undertaking. Perhaps just replacing the fretboard would be easier/achieve the same desired effect?

You're right--it's no mean feat.
If you do a bit of reading of past thread--the titles might give you a clue--there's a fair bit of customizing (as you call it) going on, but precious little neck replacement.

Eddie, not trying to discourage you; just inviting you to have a look around.

Eddie, it might look something like this:
This 360 was a 1987 "Tuxedo" model I owned that was stripped of the white finish by a previous owner. Tuxedos have maple fretboards with small black dot markers.

That's really sharp, Kevin. I really like the maple and black combination, there was a 620 like that recently on eBay that I wish I'd grabbed. The maple fingerboard on yours is an additional bonus in the looks department. Not your typical Rick!

Agree. That looks really great Kevin.
I'm sure you've posted that photo before but I didn't recall that it was a stripped Tuxedo.
The wood grain and the color are fantastic. What I wish my MG would look like.

Thanks all. Unfortunately, I no longer own this guitar. I sold it to a Forum member who occasionally posts here. Maybe he will add something.
My original plan was to change the pickups to "Toasters" and the black hardware to chrome. I was going to keep the black plastic parts on it to match the bindings. I wish I had kept that guitar now.
