Pretty unusual. As we all know by now, Jetglo is possible on any model, and is usually used if there is some cosmetic flaw in the wood. The 4001C64S is supposed to look like McCartney's bass after he sanded it and RIC fixed it up. Can't be many Jetglos. I photographed one at the MARF. Here's another:

I saw that one, Paul. Looks nice! I'm currently on the lookout for an early '90's JG V63. That would round out the stable of V's nicely.

I love that bass and I've played at least 3 different jetglo 4001c64s' at the Music Zoo in Little Neck (Queens, NY but they're on the web) within the past year so perhaps it's not so rare. BTW, i believe they all sold for just under 2K.
It sounded incredible w/ a $3000 amp (divided by 13) and and 2X10 Epifani cab. My rig is way cheaper.

Bass Emporium told me last week that they have one coming in on consignment.

I was quoted 2099 at Wades for one. I sold my 4003 to place a deposite. I got cold feet and put a deposite on another 4003 because I just couldn't wait the anticpated 18 MONTHS to get one.
I would never back out on the boys at Wades, but if I could, I would have snapped up that ebay JG C64 in a heartbeat! It would be worth the extra 300 to have it now.
Damn!
