Did Jimi Hendrix ever play a Rickenbacker? Does anyone have any pix?

I think he owned a 360/6 and 360/12, both New Style Jetglos, and a 4005 in jetglo. I'll see if I can find the pic that proves it. I might be mistaken though.

I recently read somewhere that Hendrix was so blown away by Chris Squire's bass sound that he pumped him for info and then bought a 4001. So, reading this thread, I thought I'd seek out some verification.
I didn't find it.
What I did find is a fascinating interview with Squire about meeting Hendrix and discussing Rickenbackers. Maybe this is what really happened and prompted Jimi to eventually get a 4001. Either way, this is a great read:

...perhaps because CS hadn't met many guitarists at that point who were African American with 82nd Airborne 'experience'. A guy like that will talk to anyone...

I used to do a few comedy riffs when I played solo, in between songs. One of them was about Noel Redding. I'd talk about dream jobs for musicians, such as being a slow blues drummer (think Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You"...), or just being Noel Redding, and I'd demonstrate by playing "Purple Haze"...but just the bass line, which is pretty funny if you make a show of putting your "all" into it. You know, you mostly just thump the E note.
So yeah, I'd have to agree with Squire on that broadside of Noel. Although Pamela Des Barres thought he was exceptional...only she wasn't talking about music.
