Did Jimi Hendrix ever play a Rickenbacker? Does anyone have any pix?

I think he owned a 360/6 and 360/12, both New Style Jetglos, and a 4005 in jetglo. I'll see if I can find the pic that proves it. I might be mistaken though.
EDIT: Here's a page from this very site all about it:

That's Pete Townsend's Rickenbacker which Jimi is holding. Great photo.

That looks like the MG that Pete's pictured with on the back of the A Quick One album.

I recently read somewhere that Hendrix was so blown away by Chris Squire's bass sound that he pumped him for info and then bought a 4001. So, reading this thread, I thought I'd seek out some verification.
I didn't find it.
What I did find is a fascinating interview with Squire about meeting Hendrix and discussing Rickenbackers. Maybe this is what really happened and prompted Jimi to eventually get a 4001. Either way, this is a great read:

Actually it's a long interview---if you only want to read the part I mentioned, just EDIT/FIND the word "Jimi".

Mark, Thanks for posting the link. What a great story! I'd never heard that tale before.

Imagine being Squire, looking out at those rows of chairs...while Hendrix serenades!

That 360/12 pictured at

could've been JG or BG.

Nice Hendrix story from Squire, thanks.
Some great quotes:
That was Noel Redding, of course; not the greatest bass player of all time.
Jimi came in and started talking to me, which I found was quite surprising because guitarists didn't usually talk to bass players
All these chicks who hadn't been interested in talking to me before became real friendly.

Those stood out for me too, Mark.

"...Jimi came in and started talking to me, which I found was quite surprising..."
...perhaps because CS hadn't met many guitarists at that point who were African American with 82nd Airborne 'experience'. A guy like that will talk to anyone...

I used to do a few comedy riffs when I played solo, in between songs. One of them was about Noel Redding. I'd talk about dream jobs for musicians, such as being a slow blues drummer (think Zeppelin's "Since I've Been Loving You"...), or just being Noel Redding, and I'd demonstrate by playing "Purple Haze"...but just the bass line, which is pretty funny if you make a show of putting your "all" into it. You know, you mostly just thump the E note.
So yeah, I'd have to agree with Squire on that broadside of Noel. Although Pamela Des Barres thought he was exceptional...only she wasn't talking about music.
