OK, I have a beautiful new 330 JG with toasters. Love it, but... I'd like to get the bridge pickup a little 'hotter'- both in terms of gain in comparison to the neck pickup and just a more aggressive lead sound. Ideally, I'd like to wire the blend knob as a push/pull so I can have the traditional sound and then activate for boost/gain. I'm an absolute neophyte in these matters. If anybody could comment on the practicality of this or point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative. Thanks.

The first thing you should do is try adjusting the pickups. Is it feasible to raise the bridge pickup closer to the strings? Also, since you have the Vintage Toasters, is the extra high pass cap installed? If so, shunt across it with a wire to get more output (along with more low end) from the bridge pickup.
