When Rickenbacker starts production of the 4005 Reissue, what standard finishes, binding, inlays, hardware, etc. do you want to see on it?

That's easy:
Firglo, Chequered Binding, full width MOP.

Chris, do you have some inside info?
JH has said many times that the "Tuna Boat" will never again see the light of day.
Now we're talking about features?

Oh No. Here we go again.

I'm wondering what people would be willing to pay for a 4005 reissue. I can't imagine one costing less that $6,000 if RIC were to produce this model. I could be wrong though.

This thread topic is like a large jelly donut...

Methinks perhaps Chris took one of John's sarcastic comments on the subject a little too seriously...

The Continuing Saga of The Discussion about Reissuing the 4005 - in which Doris Gets Her Oats
A plate of donuts is served in a meeting room at work. By the time you get there, there are three donuts left for you to choose from: two glazed donuts, and one jelly-filled. You like both types of donuts equally, and really don't care which kind you eat. You would really like two donuts, but there's a standing rule that you can only take one until everyone has had a chance. You know that everyone in the office will eventually come by and take a donut if they find one they like, but (not being donut-fiends like yourself) they will not come back for seconds.
You know that of all the other people in the office, there is one other person who also has no preference regarding donuts, just like you. Everybody else has a distinct preference (either glazed or jelly) and will not eat the other kind. Moreover, you happen to know that everybody in the office who has a preference has the same preference (i.e. they either all like glazed or they all like jelly), but you can't for the life of you remember which kind it is that they all prefer.
You do not know which or how many people have been there before you (you could be first, or you could be last, or anywhere in between), and you have no idea how many of which donuts there were at the beginning of things.
What type of donut should you take in order to maximize the chances of at least one donut remaining for you after everybody has had an opportunity? Does it matter how many other people are in the office?
Edit: for clarification, you have no idea who has or hasn't been there before you, so the person with no preference may be coming after you, or they may already have been, taken their donut, and gone.
Edit: Added the additional question about whether the number of people in the office affects the answer to the puzzle, because it's a good question.

If it's in a meeting room then everyone's already gone, haven't they?
Eat a glazed one.

You take a glazed. Everyone in the office prefers only one type, so the other would be left over.

Take all three & run away. My family members also don't care about the kind of donut.
Back to the topic - some people here call it

, but still why not dream? Olive, the other features are optional, and if somebody will give it to me as a present.

Chris started this thread as though he is EXTREMELY optimistic about the relaunch of the 4005!
