Ricks I Have Loved....And Sold Like An Idiot!

In my quest for the ultimate guitar, I admit there were several Ricks that got away:

'67 360-6 F/Glo: Lots of neck finish wear, but a real player.

'67 360-6 F/Glo: Cosmetically nicer than the above. Played fine.

'68 365 Mpl/Glo: Bought NOS in a store in Easton, PA in '84. It sat there for SIXTEEN years until I gave it a home. Paid $200!

'67 335, F/Glo: Dead mint, very dark F/Glo. Gorgeous! Paid $325, sold it for $475.

'66 360-12: A basket case that I tried having fixed. It never played right. This is the only one I don't regret dumping.

Anybody have similar stories?

I'm feeling the vibe that there's an old Rick hiding under a bed or in someone's closet that will soon be mine for a mere pittance. Once I find it, it isn't going anywhere this time.

Yep, JWilli's list would make ME cry too, LOL...

I miss every one that I no longer have, but what's cool is that I DID have them once..I had a turn.Image

I've loved and said goodbye to:

650A/VT Atlantis with vibrato (looked like a sleek Italian racer)

340/12 Midblu (never gave it the chance)

340/6 DG (great lead tone, clubby neck)

330 MG+accent+toasters+gold guards 335/VP (a little clangy sounding)

I've kept the 1997SPC/VB (heaven) and the 360V64 (heaven if it had a vibrato).

They will always be my go to guitars.

I sold my first one, a 350v63 FG. I did it to help pay for my 325c58 JG, which was a good thing, but I still miss that guitar. The FG on her was stunning....

Paul,

The PIC is spot-on. That is exactly what it looked like. I weep.

I've had two 325V63's and sold both when I needed cash. To rectify the situation I ordered a 325C64. I recently had to return the 325C64 because of an unexpected surgery for my wife. It seems I'm not meant to have a 325.
