Thanks to all who let me know that they could not post yesterday late in the day. Server problems would let people see the RickResource Forum but not post. We seem to have come out of the other side in a strange sort of way.

Although you will get an error message until this is sorted out your message will actually be posted. After you get the error message, hit backspace and refresh and voila, your message is there. I will proceed to get to the bottom of this, but I need a wee break from this.

Thanks to all who let me know. I am still responding to each of those emails.

We are not out of the woods yet. I am still on the case and will report back to all when I have a better understanding of what is going on. zzzzzz

If there is anything my ISP and hosting company can do to help, it is yours at no charge, Peter. Anything...just call on us Image

If it helps, it seems the only area that cannot be posted to so far is the For Sale area, using your workaround above. Also the email feeds stopped working, if that helps in diagnosing the problems...

Peter, I hereby declare you an honorary citizen of the USA, and, as such, you are granted this day as a National Holiday and no longer have to mess with all this bad noise until tomorrow. I am so grateful for your constant, behind-the-scenes efforts. When the site went down, I immediately missed it, and I realized that this strange mode of communication really enhances my day-to-day "life of the mind". Thanks once again for what you do, for free.

Well things are not quite back to normal, including yours truly.

We have identified the problems and it only took two experts and a facilitator (moi) to sort things out.

I am indebted to both of them. It turns out that permissions were not changed in a secure folder which created a psychotic break that lasted 24 hours. Now that I can relate to!

I am going for the liquid gels now. Whooo!

I was beginning to think that I did not stand a ghost of a chance.

That is a REALLY cool animated gif, Peter! Can I keep and use a copy of it?

Good news that you discovered what it was and got it fixed Image I figured either your hard drive had developed soft sectors or a Linux filesystem error, or you had a permissions problem (well, the diagnostic we all saw did clearly say "you do not have sufficient permissions" didn't it)

Well done, sir!

It is not my gif, Elys, so until someone claims it feel free.

Phew! Initially at least, I was frantically trying to figure out what I had said in prior posts that got me banned from posting.
Seriously. I am not kidding. Talk about a sinking feeling.

Thanks for all your hard work Peter.
