Donations?

I have so much fun looking around and researching , and talking with people who share my love of Rickenbacker basses on this forum. I have learned much and have a long way to go.

Forgive my ignorance, but how does a guy donate to the cause? Surely this can't be cheap to operate. I feel like giving back something.
Thanks.

Nice thought, but I tried the same thing last year. Peter is too kind, and modest, and his love for Rickenbacker's prevent him from accepting donations.

This isn't the FDP, that's for sure. Here, there really is a true, almost altruistic sharing of our love for all things Rickenbacker. We have offered on numerous occasions to give back to Peter what he has given to us with no success. All the more reason to love this place! Image Image Image

I keep trying to give him free hosting and email for life, but he is too modest to even accept that.

So far.

I am known for my persistence, though Image

That's fine, thought I'd ask. There are other places that beg for donations and I guess this isn't one of those. Good deal...and yes it just makes it better.

He even was unable to attend the 75th. Quite a loss, but he was there in spirit and in our hearts.

Funny, how much more likely I am to feel like giving if it isn't being demanded of me...that's a classy way to run a forum, Peter.

Attendees at the 75th did, however, gift Peter with a Rickenbacker silver stand/case that was signed on the outside. I think Darren Trott headed that "donation." What great folks we are, say I!

Besides the case stand, there was a whole bunch of RIC paraphenalia/porn inside! Image

Yeah! Strings, T-shirt, bumper stickers, etc. Peter has probably set up a dealership by now!

Once the case stand was designated as the collection point, the donations from all present just multiplied on their own - everyone saw it as a way to give back to Peter for all the time and effort he gives here running these forums. After all, without this place, most of us would not have been there at all, and we fully knew and appreciated that fact! Kudos, Mr. McCormack!! Image
