I wish I could afford it, but after just paying for my 72' 4001 I am a little short on the currency side
It looks in mint condition other than the cracked pickguard.

After looking at it again - the pickguard is not cracked, it is in fact a dead string...!

Seller has a feedback rating of 1. Could be risky bidding on it.

...Apparently bidders are buying the story the seller is telling.
It's already bid up to over $3K, with eight days to go! Look for a high price on this one.

Kinda like the Vette that sat in the barn until mom sold it for her long lost Viet Nam son...

I recently bought a purt near mint 66 360/12 myself. I'm anxious to see if this will come close to what I paid, and make me feel better for spending all that money.

Jerry,
Can I ask what you paid, if you don't mind.

BTW the Ebay Ric 12 string auction ended at $4,212.62 a TOTAL bargain as I see it.

Yeah - and I received an official 2nd chance offer from ebay to buy it at my highest bid ($4,000. I couldn't resist

).
Something smells very fishy here.

In my dreams.

Just a thought as we all pursue those killer deals ( me also as I attend my share of garage/estate sales)...lets take a second to give a kind thought to the seller who is selling his son's guitar because he passed away...

Very true George.
I hope the new owner will treasure this guitar.

I have been waiting to see how the feedback score would change for either party involved in this auction, thus far neither party has recorded a feedback experience, hummmmmmmm seems very fishy to me. This auction has been closed for almost 3 weeks now!!!!
