+1. Tony at Pickguardian will give you top quality, and if you specify year and model, he will come through.

Dale nailed it. I've had Tony (pickguardian)make me several tort guards for my various fenders. excellent materials, good price.

I HIGHLY suggest sending your existing guard to Tony as the holes on his don't always line up. I found it out twice.
He's super fast and super cool.

Oh yeah, What Sean said, too. Just to be sure. Or, you can send a tracing.

i know of tony - in fact i just ordered a 600-series black p/g set from him last week. he only lists "4003 series - fits most ...". i have two 4003's, all original, with p/g holes that don't line up exactly the same (and who never did, unless the 88 shrunk more or something). so i guess the only way to find out whether his p/g's are compatible w/ my '87 is to send my guard or a trace to him.

The one he made for my '72 fit like a glove, but yeah: better safe than sorry. I'd send a trace.

As someone who makes custom stuff (not guitar related) but who has also made pickguards for two of my Rickenbackers, do the right thing and send a tracing. Nice guards take time to make and you don't just move an errant hole over an eigth of an inch in plexiglass. You start over from scratch. Tony will do this for you without a problem if one doesn't fit, but it doesn't help his bottom line much to have to do a job over a second time for free. Send a tracing. It takes the guesswork out of the process. You'll know they'll fit and he'll only have to do the job once.

I didn't send one, and he nailed it on try one. The man is GOOD!
But Todd's right for every good reason.

I just took my 4000 to his house and he measured it up there... of course, it helps to live in the same town he does
He's a great guy who does great work.

I've done that, Randy. When I had Tony do the PG for my 4001V63 I left him the bass for the weekend to enjoy. Of course, I had to drive down from Cleveland, but I was there for Winterfair, anyway.

Tony has a very nice collection of instruments, too, including a very nice custom made Telecaster.
