I'd never seen that before. Lot of Who influence there.

Yep, lots of Who influence. Their song 'Biff, Bang, Pow!' could easily be mistaken for The Who. Legend has it that their guitarist, Eddie Phillips, was approached by Pete Townshend around 1966 to join The Who as a second guitarist. Eddie decided that his band was about to take off, so he turned him down. He later became a roadie for Led Zeppelin before becoming a London Transport bus driver.

Thanks for posting that. I got introduced to the Creation by the Nuggets II set and really liked what I heard. Ron Wood would also play in the Creation before they called it a day.

John Dalton from Creation went on to replace bassist Pete Quaife (sp?) in The Kinks around 1968.

Simon: I stand corrected. I usually check my facts before I respond, but I did't have my copy of "Our Music Is Red With Purple Flashes" at my office. Was I right about Eddie driving London buses or was that Ken too?

Right indeed Randy...Ed was one of London's finest.
"Get that bus 'art Butler...aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr"
He told me he was never without a pocket recorder on
his route dictating any melody / lyric ideas as he
went...methinks some disgruntled passengers missed their intended stop.

What an excellent band...probably the ultimate "lost" band of the 60's that could/should have become superstars...instead of forgotten.
