Which Amp would you suggest??

Hi Gang,
I've ordered a 4001C64S and I would appreciate your suggestions on what amp would be the best for this Ric..I'm not planning on playing Madison Square Gardens, but it would be nice to have a little "kick" when it's needed..I'm mostly jamming with friends (playing 60's rock & roll)along with playing at home...I'm not too concerned with costs, so your suggestions are most welcomed!!

If price is not important, get a Walter Woods. His amps are the best and his support if great, but right now his backlog is going into the end of '08! Kind of like RIC.
With that in mind go for a Markbass Little Mark II. I just got one a couple days ago and they are fantastic amps for very reasonable $$$.
Speaker cabinets are another story; what are your needs there?

Hi Murray,
If you are thinking small, portable, tube tone, big power (300 watts), adjustable cross-over horn/tweeter, you should try a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout. They come in 12" & 15", I bought the 12 as it is much easier to move and sounds great. Best all round amp I've owned. Pricey, but when you A/B against other small amps, it's clearly a step above. You can easily add an extension cab which turns it into a force if your band buddies get sassy.

Hey John, I find one 810 will settle em down. Don't have to plug it in, just make em help you move it. Not often I can get em to let me add #2. Just the suggestion starts a lot of hand wringing & leg wetting.
The little Boogie on the other hand appears very innocuous. I have an additional 12" extension cab that still gives a harmless appearance. It's no SVT, but short of an outdoor venue or stadium, the little rascal honks. I can also lift the dang thing without wearing a truss.

Yeah, I hear ya. I have enough trouble with my 410HLF! I was implying the absurdity of the portable Walkabout Scout paired with the refrigerator-sized 810.
