Clough's comments
"Here's this weeks BFTP.
You will all know the song but name the act doing this version, the act had loads of hits on both sides of Atlantic in the 60's, even the 50's.
Like a lot of acts though the BI, saw the chart hits slowly disappear. You can find the clip
here."

Ok, I have my first guess in to Roy.

No guesses here, I'm afraid. The singer could lead prayers from a minaret somewhere in Cairo any day of the week, though!

Well, it's not Sammy Kaye, thats for sure.
And since the vocals eliminate The Ventures, check out their early version... great!

A tough one. My guess is in to Roy but I'm not too confident about it.

To quote Heather Mills... "this one has me stumped."

That voice is hauntingly familiar, but still the artist's name escapes at this very moment. I'll have to give this some more thought.

It should sound familiar, super popular group.

I'm 100% positive I know who it is but can't find Roy's address to e-mail him. My all time favorites.

I am assuming this is a British act?
I am stumped. This is not a cut that is familiar to me. The keyboards and the voice however are very distinctive. I should know this artist, but I truly have no idea Roy. Sorry.

Brian
Understand you thinking it may be a British act because of forum theme but it may not necessarily be so
