Conan's a 360 fan

Don't know if I missed an existing thread, but a punk group called Against Me! was on Late Night with Conan O'Brien recently. The lead singer plays a 360 JG that is pretty prominently displayed and at the very end of the clip (I caught this on Youtube), Conan points to the 360 and the guy is showing it to him.
Kind of cool I thought.

Didn't find the Conan video, but here they are on Kimmel:

Also on Conan, they show a close up of an āFā holed Ric āVā something hollow body (I am not sure which model it is since I am a bass guy). It is a still picture of the Ric in a music store, as they come back from commercial breaks.

Yep I remember seeing that back when Conan was funny. Fireglo, right?

Yes.
It kind of looked like the Pete T. LE.

"... when Conan was funny"? Ouch J-Dog!
I think Dave's right - the Rickenbacker shown in the post-commercial still is a Pete Townsend. For a while there, the bassist was regularly playing a Jetglo 4001/4003 while the guitarist will often have a Mapleglo 360 (not sure if it's a 12-string or not).

It's almost literally the last frame of the video if you don't want to watch the song.

Conan was funny when he was working on the Simpsons. Since then...blech.

RE: Against Me
What an awful song. IMHO of course.

My friends in the band Dressy Bessy (their drummer plays vibes in our band The PW3 when he's in town) played on Conan's show last year. When they got there for sound check, they passed Conan's office...the door was slightly open, and they could hear him in there working out one of their tunes on a guitar. In a biz where people routinely pretend to be interested in what their guests are doing, Conan seems to be a pretty genuine guy.
Of course, that and $7.50 will get you a cup of coffee these days...

Sorry, Steve, but I think Craig Ferguson eats his lunch. Conan has clearly been tapped for Leno's job for a few years now, and is likely easing himself into the even more mindless comedy, and IMHO not doing a good job of it.

I'm still a fan, though I do see the difference over time. But Conan still has the quickest wit of them all---throw him a straight line and he will be the first to hit it out of the park.

I think that Conan's show is one of the last refuges for where a new band can get some decent exposure.
The first time I have ever heard Government Mule, Los Straightjacket, Brandi Carlile (to name a few), was on his show.

I think Conan's hilarious, plus he's got great hair.
