I need to upgrade a 15 inch speaker. They are both heavy 72 vs 80 oz mags, but one is half the price. Any comments?

I had an Eminence Kappa Pro 15. Nice speaker, punchy and loud.
I dont think you can beat EVM's or JBL's though.

I beat an EVM 15 once, but it took 10 years of pretty heavy pounding (and I was at least the second owner).
Good, tough speakers.

Charlie here's a good place for speakers. Its where I bought my Kappa Pro. Decent pricing.

Between the two I'd certainly take the Kappa.

Go with the Eminence. Larger voice coil, more power handling, and better sensitivity rating.

Also, Made In Amerika, Kentucky, in fact!
The other is Made In China.

Got it! Cost me 91 bucks plus shipping.
I found this Roland cab with a cheapo 15 in it, but the cab is very light. This should match well to the Porta Bass 250.

Sounds like you did all right, Charly.
