I was hoping to make these a regular feature but to date only 4 have taken part in former, though 9 have downloaded the file.

This not a criticism or a touch of pique om my part just a statement of fact, if no interest then no point in uploading etc.

Slightly better result on BFTP but not much, so I have to conclude more participants just prefer to discuss topics rather then be interactive as they say.

Perfectly understand that unlike myself regretfully at moment, lo of you are busy and may not have the inclination or time to take part.

That is of course fine just wanted to clarify the point.

Just my opinion Roy, but I especially like Battle of the versions, hope you keep it going. I like both actually.

I enjoyed it.... but the burden doesn't have to all be on Roy. Perhaps we can all join in and do a trivia back-and forth. Hmmmmm... lemme think.

Too bad there is so little interest...there is more to life than gear.

Music led me to Rickenbacker, not the other way around. Oh well.

Being new to the forum I have to say I "signed up" to participate in BFTP. The weekly discussions whilst awaiting Saturdays result, and subsequent new posting really do cause me to visit more often than I used to. Saturday mornings this side of the pond are pretty good as the BBC also have a 60s radio show on as well. Educational, entertaining & enormously enjoyable as the forum is, the iceing on the cake is down to Roy. Perhaps the entry level is allied to the perceived difficulty level. Keep it going Roy its what music is all about...fun!

Roy,

Music and the arts are far more important to me on a daily basis than the thought of acquiring new Rickenbacker instruments. Please keep going with your highly entertaining and educational posts of this nature. I thoroughly enjoy them.

Welcome Jamie! What an excellent first post.

Hear that one, Roy? And +1 what Brian said.

Hmmmm... i guess you know what i think of it, Roy. As i've stated it many times before, the "attraction factor" of the forum to me was the music section(s), not the instruments. And i love puzzles, even though i'm pretty lousy at them. I guess i've learned here more about classic pop and rock'n'roll than in previous 25 years of my life, before i found this place. Moreover, this is a great chance to add to my music collection (heh-heh).

Glad to have you here Sheena and great that someone a lot younger than most of us is actually interested.
