If it's only got a slight twist, it's possible that the dual truss rods could dial it out. It's also possible that the truss rods are misadjusted, causing the twist.

Is it just the intonation that need adjusting?

The Ric stings will make a huge difference and that twist can be adjusted out. By the way how much did the tech offer you for it?

Jon,
Dale Fortune helped me with a twist in my 360V64 6 string. He has a procedure which if you follow to the letter, it works. I wrote him off forum and I suggest you do the same. He's a great guy and his knowledge base when it comes to Rickenbacker instruments is unbelievable.
Please don't call it a Ricky though.

One more thing is that using a heavier gauge string set can wreak the groves the the nut and possible the bridge.

Oh btw the intonation issue is a simple fix. Dale can help you with that also.

This guitar is in great shape for being 17 years old...I hope I can get the harmonics working properly.

I think it's okay to call short scale models "Ricky" or "Li'l Ricky." Go ahead, fire away at me!
