I just got my first Rickenbacker guitar today. I do own three basses, a '67 4005 WB JG,
a '73 4001 FG and a '03 4004Cii MG and in the past had a fourth '77 4001 MG.
I am now the proud father of an '02 660/12 MG. It has a beautiful Flame Maple body that goes well with my 4004Cii.

That's a beauty. Love the gold pickguard with the maple.

I've been playing it all evening, what an angelic sound this baby has!

The past couple of weeks or so I've been thinking of getting a 12-string as well (can't decide between 360/12 or 620/12) to go along with my 4003. Image

That Rick 12-string sound is just one of those "must-have" tones I need to have in my grasp!

Man, amazing flame character, Jeffrey!
And checkered binding to boot.

This baby would be a perfect subject for creative large format B+W photography.

"creative large format B+W photography"

Now, that is something that I am somewhat of an expert at!

Congratulations Jeffrey. I love the gold guard and nameplate with the mapleglo finish. The binding is very striking as well.

Good on you, Jeffery...I recently bought one in Turquoise, because green(ish) guitars are my signature...but the maple 6 series are my favorite...they seem to pick the best flames and birdseyes for those models...maybe I'll get 6 string 660 in maple. (how's the action on your12?).

Great looking guitar! Great sounding is a given! I hope that my next Rick will also be a MG 660 -- but I think I'm 5 years away from that. I'll just drool over yours for now...!

Peter,

How did you fix my post and get the photos to align vertically? It bothered me that the page ended up so wide.
