OK try again on this for time being, this time song listed to hopefully encourage participants.
To clarify not really looking for you to identify who versions are by so no competitive element as with BFTP, if you wish to fine really trying to get a feel for which you think is best version second best etc, just for fun and interest.
Clearly a 70's song this but all versions by acts associated with 60's even 50's,2 album versions, 2 single versions one which was a hit and one which frankly should have been.
If any of you want to have a go and cannot unzip files let me know we'll sort that.

My vote would be 2,4,3,1.
Roy, I had to use a different player than my usual Windows media player for Version 4. It just wouldn't open it. WMP opened the first three versions fine, but something may have happened during either the encoding or the zipping of Version 4.

2 (of course!!),
3,
1 (but who is it?),
4 (probably unfair to put him last, but familiarity breeds contempt, and all that...)

3,
haven't been able to open #4 yet
My computer was just fixed and the dreaded windows media player is again first choice, have to figure out how to disable it, windows sux.
OK, got it open and my alternate also showed who it was.
Incidentally I have never heard this song before although my wife has, in Peru.

well here are the results of the cloughs classics jury (thanks to those who took time to vote)
Based on 4 points for a number 1, 3 for a 2 and so on
1.Version 2 (Elvis Presley) 29 points
2 Version 1 (The Searchers) 27 points
3 Version 3 (Neil Sedaka) 26 points
4 Version 4 (Andy Williams) 18 points
Disappointed of course that Searchers didn't win it but there you go. Did convert Vicki though a new fan. Some of you may be surprised that it was The Searchers, they were the first to release it as a single but radio stations ignored it.
Do we want a BOTV 4

My vote is yes, Roy. How many points do I get?
