Okay about the jam... thanks to everyone who emailed me about participating in the jam session at SoCalConIII. I originally thought it would be like last year, but since it's going to be more low-key, I think just a fun free-for-all is best. Plus, I only have less than 24 hours to hang with everyone, so the last thing I want to do is work!

I have a keyboard player coming. Please post here (don't email me) if there are one or two specific songs you'd like him to learn. I was thinking American Girl and The Waiting by Petty. I'll let the rest of you decide what Beatles tunes, etc. I'll pick 3 or 4 and ask him to learn those early next week.

"Close To The Edge, and Firth Of Fifth, please!"

The fact is that he most likely knows them all soup to nuts.

A few Beatles suggestions:

A Hard Day's Night
Day Tripper
Drive My Car
Eight Days A Week
From Me To You
Help
I Call Your Name
I Saw Her Standing There
I'll Be Back
It Won't Be Long
Misery
No Reply
Tell Me Why
There's A Place
What You're Doing
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
You Can't Do That

Er..... sorry.... more than "a few"!

If a good keys player is going to be present, then Get Back should be obligatory... you could pull off a nice live version with keys! Lady Madonna would be cool too.

If you need bass on Drive My Car and most other Beatles, I'm there.
